"After losing 80 pounds on an Herbalife diet, I had lost 50% of my muscle mass, so I

decided to join a fitness gym and try to recover the muscle I had before my diet. I

was given a free workout with one of the trainers who happened to be Barbra.

She familiarized me with all the equipment, and what was available to all

members of the club. She asked what my primary goals were, so I told her about

the muscle mass loss issue, and she was totally understanding of what I had

encountered. She set up a weight training and resistance program that helped me

"After a severe injury to my left hip requiring two surgeries, followed by months of

physical therapy and home exercises, I was unable to lift my leg from a seated

position. Compounding that, in 2009 I became ill with a gastrointestinal illness

that led to osteoporosis, rapid weight loss and ensuing weakness, particularly in

my already compromised hip. I began taking T’ai chi, and was feeling stronger


and more balanced, but realized that I needed more. Barbra designed a variety of

plans that strengthened my entire body without causing any additional weight

loss. I have seen major improvements in my balance, posture and strength, but

the most surprising result? I can now lift my leg from a seated position! This was

something that months of physical therapy – continued at home for two years

following my surgery – could not achieve.

I believe that Barbra’s focus on the entire body, combined with her training and

knowledge, led to my greatly improved strength and stability. I am very grateful

for what she has helped me accomplish and highly recommend her to anyone

who is looking for a personal trainer, particularly anyone in need of post-

"T’ai Chi for me is internal and physical balance. I didn’t realize how just standing

the wrong way wasn’t good for my body and mind. Barbra has helped me to be

aware of my posture and has helped me to center my energy. After lessons, I

breathing and grounding techniques I’ve learned from Barbra. Many times I have
